Encuentros Education and Career Exploration ConferenceHeld annually in October since 2004, this event serves an average of 600 middle and high school aged Latino boys each year. At this one-day conference prominent Latino and other professionals team up with local representatives from business, educational institutions and government agencies to deliver personal and professional advice on what is required to succeed in today’s working world. The 7th Annual Encuentros Education & Career Exploration Conference will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010. This year we plan to hold two conferences on the same day: one at MiraCosta College and one at Palomar College in an effort to host 1000+ boys. We need many volunteers to make the conferences for the boys a great experience. You can be a part of this. Our past volunteers have always enjoyed this volunteer experience with many returning each year to join in on the fun once again. But we need more volunteers this year with holding two conferences on the same day. The boys attending our conferences love to hear from professionals in a variety of career fields who are passionate about their work and wish to share their stories with them. We are looking for workshop presenters for this year’s conferences who wish to speak about their profession and what it took them to get there, If you wish to present, please complete the appropriate form below (MiraCosta College in Oceanside, CA location or Palomar College location in San Marcos, CA) and return it to us as soon as possible.
